Scholarships

The scholarship has been named after a visionary and a social activist Sh Amarnath Vaishnavi who spent his life rehabilitating the terrorism hit people of Kashmir and empowered them through his initiatives that opened doors for their education in the educational institutions all over India. The scholarship is instituted by Amarnath Vaishnavi Foundation , a non- profit organization , and the same is awarded every year in Jammu at the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the legend on August 24th.The scholarship pays the annual tuition fee of the student, directly to the educational institution where the student studies. We support their education for a minimum period of one year which normally extends since our donors continue to support them.

Since the year 2020 we have supported 77 academic years of education. We provide the contact details of the students to the sponsors after they have committed and share their academic progress twice a year.

We are grateful to the anonymous individual donors who are silently helping in the upliftment and empowerment of the marginalsied of our Kashmiri Pandit community and The Avanti Foundation for their generosity.

Donations are exempt from income tax under section 80G of the income Tax act.
